Story Of The Week (Members Only) A New Story Every Friday! The Short Story America Story of the Week will appear every Friday, and will remain Short Story America’s featured story until the following Friday. This story will always be either a brand-new story or a story which was published in the past but to a smaller audience than Short Story America’s worldwide readership (we want to publish great stories which most of the world missed the first time around. This is a great opportunity for readers and authors alike). After the story has been featured for seven days, the story will be moved from the main member page to the Short Story America Library at the site, so that members can find and read the story as often as they wish. All featured stories will remain permanently in the Short Story America Library for worldwide members to read for years to come. This way, great stories will be discovered by more readers, and short-story authors will become better known to a broader audience, as they were in the era before television and computers. Book Format! The Story of the Week will appear in page-turning book format for the optimal reading pleasure of our members. The author’s photo and brief biography will be featured at the back of the story book. Short Story America Anthology! Each featured story will be published in the annual Short Story America Anthology, which will be available in bookstores, online stores, and as a book for the reader’s Kindle. All authors will receive royalty compensation based on the Anthology’s net sales.
